Drewsteignton is a picturesque village in the Teign Valley, approximately 1.5 miles from Harepath Farm Barns, 13 miles west of Exeter and 9 miles south east of Okehampton, lying on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.
The village square is the focal point of the village where you will find its own Church, village shop, childrens playing field, a local pub and a gourmet fine dining restaurant. The Drewe Arms Pub is renowned for its real ales, local ciders and tasty pub grub. The Old Inn has a fantastic reputation for its gourmet fine dining in its relaxed Dartmoor restaurant.
One of the local beauty spots of Drewsteignton and a favourite for walkers is Fingle Bridge. You can follow the many winding paths by the river and stop off at the Fingle Bridge Inn for a cream tea or a well deserved pint whilst overlooking the majestic River Teign.
By car or foot you could extend your journey on to Castle Drogo which is owned by the National Trust and is situated on the edge of the Village. It was the last castle to be built in England, set above the Teign Gorge with dramatic views over Dartmoor.
Stone Lane is an enchanting 5 acre woodland garden, famous for their collection of Birch and Alder trees and their 'Mythic Garden' sculpture exhibition. You will find this approximately 2 miles from us.
On the outskirts of Drewsteignton Parish, close to Crockernwell, you will find Drakes Farm & Cafe. Drakes Farm & Cafe is a family friendly location where you can relax. Sit back and look out over the scenic views, have a play or explore ‘Drakes Paddock’. They share their site with Oinkers At Drakes Farm Shop and Ground Up Cookery School.
The two moors way walk passes through the centre of Drewsteignton Village, and encompasses some fantastic scenery along the way.
