Rural location on the edge of the breathtakingly beautiful Dartmoor. |
Welcome
Harepath Farm Barns is our beautifully restored barn conversion, situated on our family run beef and arable farm based on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park with great access to all major roads. At Harepath Farm Barns we have accommodation that varies in size, there is an option to stay in The Old Shippen which accommodates 4 people, The Brick Barn which can accommodate up to 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) and also we have an adjoining cottage to the main farmhouse which can accommodate 3 people (adults only). The traditional farmyard barn was originally used for housing cattle and horses, as well as hay & straw storage in the tallet (hayloft). The Brick Barn was first renovated in 2012 as it was no longer suitable for housing livestock. In 2017 it was updated to living accommodation and we have been pleased to be able to provide self-catering accommodation since Spring 2019. The Barn and Cottage are non-smoking and we are unfortunately unable to accept pets due to Harepath being a working farm. |

We've had a magical five nights stay. We've cycled up some incredibly challenging hills, seen spectacular scenery and above all, had fun. The accommodation has been amazing, perfect location, wonderful host, sparkling clean and a scrumptious cake on our arrival. We look forward to staying again.

Jackie and family, thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We loved staying in the Brick Barn, it was cosy and warm with everything you could ever need. A lovely place to explore Dartmoor and even went as far as Dartmouth for a day out which was beautiful. Thank you for all of the thoughtful touches. The cake was delicious!

This was our second visit, even though we are only 30 minutes from home! We've really enjoyed relaxing here and spending days on the moors and visiting the lovely pubs in the last couple of years when we haven't been able to travel so far. We found the converted barn really comfortable and perfect for the two of us and our toddler. The personal touches and cake really made us feel welcome. We hope to be back a third time! Thank you Jackie for being so accommodating.

Our stay with Jackie was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect with us staying on a working farm but I can honestly say it was fantastic. The accommodation was spotless and very private. We did everything on foot and there are some amazing walking/ cycle routes. The village is lovely, about a 20 minute walk or a few minutes by car. A very nice pub and restaurant in the village and the food and ambiance was amazing in both. Jackie baked us a lovely cake and some biscuits and made us feel extremely welcome. We will definitely stay with Jackie again when we are next in the area.
